Proper Dance Attire

Ballet:
Leotard, tights and pink ballet shoes must be worn to each class. A ballet skirt or dance sweater/warmer (made specifically for dance) may be worn over a leotard. Hair must be pulled back at all times into a ponytail or a bun. Shoes should fit snugly and strings tucked in.

Tap and Jazz:
Leotard and tights, dance pants, dance skirt or unitard of any color must be worn to each class. Black tap or jazz shoes must also be worn at all times. Hair must be pulled back into a ponytail or bun. If pants are worn, they should be capris or pants that come just to the ankle. Pants that hang over the shoes are a safety hazard.

Creative Movement:
Leotard, tights and pink ballet shoes must be worn to each class. Skirts and tutu’s may be worn if they are not a distraction to the child.

Boys may wear good fitting t-shirts and pants that they will be able to move in. Please be sure pant legs are above the shoes.

* Street clothes, jeans, baggy pants, baggy shirts, hair down and jewelry are not acceptable for any class. In order for the teachers to see movements and/or correct them, these rules must be followed.
