Below is a list of important upcoming dates for the dance program. Please mark your calendars accordingly.
Friday, March 23, 2012 - MANDATORY parent meeting at 7pm at the HdG Activity Center in the gym. This meeting will go over some very important changes for recital and each parent will be issued their childs recital tickets. Each dancer will receive 4 tickets for the recital. There will be a procedure that will be gone over at the meeting for getting more tickets. Everyone will be required to have a ticket to enter the recital this year. Please make every effort to attend and children will be required to SIT with their parent if they attend the meeting with you, however children are not required to attend the meeting.
Sunday, April 15, 2012 - Picture Day - schedule will be handed out at the parent meeting on 3/23. Pictures will be at the HdG Activity Center and will begin at 9 a.m. and end at approximately 4:30 p.m...your specific time will be on the schedule handed out at the parent meeting on 3/23. Please make sure to come even if you're not purchasing pictures so your child can be included in the group photo.
Friday, April 20, 2012 - Summer Dance Camp Rehearsal - location will be released as soon as we have confirmation. If your child was in the morning session (grades PreK-2) they will practice from 6-7 p.m. If your child was in the afternoon session (grades 3 and up) they will have practice from 7-8 p.m. If your child needs a new shirt for recital from dance camp please email Shannon Hitchings at smhitchings_pamperedchef@yahoo.com to let her know what size. They will be $10 each for the replacements.
April 23-27, 2012 - Casual Rehearsals - no regular classes will take place this week. A schedule will be handed out at the parent meeting on 3/23 as to when each class will meet. This will take place at the High School on the stage in normal class attire.
Saturday, April 28, 2012 - Dress Rehearsal - will run just like the normal recital on stage at the High School with costumes, make up, hair, etc. Again, the schedule will be handed out at the parent meeting on 3/23.
Sunday, April 29, 2012 - RECITAL DAY!!! The recital information packet will be handed out at the parent meeting with all of the great information to make the day run smoothly!
We can't stress enough how important it is to mark these dates on your calendar and make sure you are at the parent meeting on the 23rd of March. There are a number of changes going to take place regarding recital and we need everyone to be aware of these changes. If you are unable to make the meeting please send a responsible adult in your place that you trust to get your picture schedule, casual rehearsal schedule, dress rehearsal schedule, your tickets, recital packet and more.
